When your AI Agents start listening where your customers already hang out, magic happens. In CloseBot, those conversation sources are called... Sources—integrations that stream messages from platforms like HighLevel LeadConnector or HubSpot directly into your AI workflows. Below is a short walk‑through (with a few pro tips) that turns the “Add Source” button into live, qualified conversations in minutes.
What is a Source, exactly?
A Source is your CRM where you see conversations with your leads. CloseBot doesn't integrate directly with Facebook Messenger, SMS, etc. but it piggy-backs off of any channel that your CRM supports. So if you're using GoHighLevel, for example, any time a message shows up for a contact on any channel, CloseBot can respond. CloseBot Agents take the place of humans that would typically be the ones sitting in your CRM qualifying leads and booking appointments.
CloseBot must connect to a source (CRM usually) to be able to automate lead qualification and booking. CloseBot isn't a standalone.
Before you begin
Have admin access to the HighLevel (sub-account or agency level) or HubSpot workspace you want to connect.
Stay logged in to that workspace in another browser tab within the same browser window—CloseBot will reuse the session for a one‑click OAuth. This makes connecting easier.
Step‑by‑step: Adding a Source
To add a Source in CloseBot, begin by opening Sources and clicking New Source, where tiles for each supported integration appear.
Select HighLevel, Hubspot, LeadConnector or Webhook. Follow the source-specific help docs for help connecting to a specific type of source.

Managing Sources after setup
Once you add a source, you have the ability to make updates to the source, delete it and view detailed information about it.
⋮ Menu – Hover over a Source and click the three dots to Edit, Uninstall, or view Sync History.
Search Bar – Quickly locate a Source by name or integration type.
Multiple Sources – Need separate feeds for different clients? Just repeat the steps; each workspace can be its own Source.
Common questions
Question | Answer |
Can one Agent listen to multiple Sources? | Yes. When assembling an Agent AI Workflow, simply select all the Sources it should monitor. |
Will CloseBot modify my CRM source fields/ properties? | Yes, all sources connected to the same AI Workflow must have the same fields. CloseBot will add them for you when you connect multiple sources to the same AI Workflow. |
What if OAuth fails? | Log out of the CRM, clear cookies, log back in, then try Connect again. |
Next Steps
Once your Source is connected, you're ready to add an AI Provider (if you're on an agency plan) and create and connect your first Agent (persona / AI workflow pair).
