Note: AI Providers are an available setting for Agency Accounts. Business and free accounts are able to utilize CloseBot's AI Providers. Since Agencies desire fine-tuned control over re-billing, we have given them the ability to use their own AI Provider and optionally re-bill token usage.
What is an AI Provider?
An AI Provider is the fuel for your Agent Persona(s). When you create a persona, you're able to choose which model is used to generate responses. Each model (AI Provider) sounds slightly different. CloseBot gives you the power to pick from many different providers!
Adding a New AI Provider (Agency Accounts Only)
Start by clicking AI Providers in the sidebar and then click Add New Provider.
Select your desired AI Provider from the dropdown of options
Navigate to your account with that AI Provider to grab your API key. For example, you can find your API key for OpenAI HERE. You get your new API key from your developer account login (different from your ChatGPT login, for example).
Copy your API key (this only shows once so remember to copy it). Paste your API key into CloseBot and name the connection. Verify the connection, then click Done.
About AI Providers
AI Providers reward trustworthy users with higher rate-limits and permissions. With different providers there are different ways to gain trust. With OpenAI, for example, you can pre-pay usage to them to gain access to a higher "trust tier" that will increase the amount of usage they allow you to use per minute. We recommend you do this to improve your Agent performance.
CloseBot will notify you when your AI provider fails via notifications in the app and email notifications. This is important since failed provider notifications oftentimes mean a non-responsive Agent for your clients. Keep in mind, you can set up fall back AI Providers within your Persona settings.
