Overview

Each source you create or connect has a pixel that you can add to websites associated with that source. The pixel allows you to easily add chat widgets and track visitor page visit history. Adding the Sales Intelligence Pixel to websites is a great way to make sure you're able to leverage the full intelligence of CloseBot.

Page Visit Tracking

Contacts that we detect who have viewed pages of your website will have page view history viewable on their contact card. CloseBot also tracks UTM parameters so you can see ad campaign titles, details and sources.

We see in this example that this contact engaging with our chat widget on our home page had viewed our blog about the Sales Intelligence Pixel and came from Facebook.

FAQ

Here are some answers to general questions we get regarding the Sales Intelligence Pixel functionality.

Does adding the pixel mean I don't have to add that website to the knowledge base uploads?

No, you still must upload websites to the Knowledge Base if you would like your CloseBot to be able to reference information there.

Do you track even if you don't know who the visitor is?

We track and display events for any contact who:

  1. Fills out your widget form

  2. Sends a message to your chat widget

We do not create contacts with users that do not engage with your widget.

Does HIPAA affect this?

Yes, HIPAA accounts are able to install the pixel, but site visits history is not tracked. This is so we can remain compliant by HIPAA standards. The Sales Intelligence Pixel is still used to add the CloseBot chat widget to your website(s).

Summary

The Sales Intelligence Pixel is a powerful part of CloseBot, enriching its view of your leads and allowing you to add chat widgets easily to your allowed pages.
