New Channels

learn about adding a new channel to a source

Written by Bryce DeCora

Overview

CloseBot integrated with a native integration like HubSpot and HighLevel adopts the native channels provided by that integration. For example, when you integrate with HighLevel, CloseBot communicates on all of the channels available within HighLevel without any additional setup.

However, there may be times when you would like to connect a custom channel, not supported within your CRM. When you do this, CloseBot can leverage that new inbound channel to communicate with contacts, updating contact fields as if it were a natively supported channel.

Adding New Channels

Before adding a new channel, see if the channel exists as an option to add from your CRM. Connecting a custom channel directly to your CRM is always best. CloseBot can communicate via those custom channels once connected with no additional setup.

To connect a channel that isn't natively supported, hover over the Channels section within the source settings and click the "+" to add a new channel.

Click the "+" to see the list of channels you are able to add. For this example, we will choose Linq.

Input your desired channel name and API key (or other credentials for different channels. Once saved, this channel will be available for use by your Agent and displayed along with the rest of the source's channel filters.

Summary

New Channels can be added whether you're using native integrations like HighLevel and HubSpot, a custom CRM via our API and the blank source or CloseBot standalone via blank source.
