Overview
You may have instances where you want to access a conversation summary or transcript from your source (CRM). We've made the Save Conversation action available to you so you can save the conversation at any point in the conversation between a contact and Agent.
Output Variable
This is the contact field that we will be updating with either the transcript or the summary of the conversation. Make sure you select a field that is a multi-line text field.
Summarize Conversation
By default, CloseBot summarizes the conversation with the contact and updates your field with that summary. If you would like a transcript (non-summarized) instead, you can open the Advanced Settings and deselect the Summarize Conversation option.
Summary
This action becomes useful in scenarios where you want to share the conversation with a business owner using source-automations. For example, maybe you want a summary of the conversation to be sent to the business owner any time an appointment is conversationally booked by CloseBot. With a summary, the business owner will be better-equipped to handle the meeting.
