Modify Tags (GHL/LC)

The Modify Tags action is likely the most useful action within CloseBot for Highlevel or Lead Connector users. Tags can help activate workflows in your CRM, sort and group people together while tracking journeys and even route your contact to a new agent.

Overview

The modify tags action is an Integrations type action allows you add or remove a tag from a contact within your CRM. This opens many options for CloseBot and your CRM to work together to give you more capabilities than either system alone would have. This action paired with an automation that is triggered by a tag being added to the contact allows you to send internal notifications, webhooks, invoices, change pipeline stages and an ever growing list of options as both platforms add new features. Tags also give you the ability to change which agent the contact is speaking with by using Source Filters.

Set Up

Title

The title field is a required field that makes the action referenceable within CloseBot.

Tags to add/remove

In the Modify Tags window, click the "Tags to add +" or "Tags to remove +" button for each new tag you want to add/remove. This generates a 'Tag' input box where you can specify the tag name to be added or removed to contacts.

Tag

Variables are supported in this field, but we advise using a fixed value so the action doesn't inadvertently add multiple new tags to your CRM.

The field will automatically format the tag to be all lowercase since Highlevel/Lead Connector only allows tags with no capital letters.

Example

Our Plumbing business wants to organize our leads better for data tracking and notification purposes.

First, if the contact speaks to our agent we want to add a tag called "ai responded" to the contact. When this tag is added it will trigger a workflow in our CRM to move the contact from Cold lead to Warm Lead Stage.

โ€‹In the conversation, we will determine if the contact is looking for a new install or a repair and tag them accordingly. After the objective, we will use a true/false to separate people based on their needs and add the tag. We can then book to different calendars based on their request.

Finally if someone asks to speak with a person, we will add a tag to send an internal notification to the team so someone can jump into the conversation and assist.
